The “flute of shame” is a medieval contraption inflicted upon bad musicians at a time when public humiliation was a ruler’s means of invoking fear in the people he controlled. Not only was it imposed upon displeasing musicians, but public performers in general who were deemed lewd, offensive, or bothersome. The device would be fitted around the subjects neck, with the fingers clamped tightly along the flute, where it could remain for days. (via Mark Wein)

This looks awesome, can’t wait to see it.

I was truly touched by this preview. Such an amazing talent to photography people, beautiful landscapes and yet, she was far from everyone, even from her closest friends. Makes me wonder if she created another persona for herself to be able to talk to complete strangers and take photos of them.
